have been known to steal your identity, cause serious virus's in your pc, and leave your bank account broke. If you have a spam feature on your email addy "send it to spam" alerting yahoo, aol, msn of the intent and body of the email. This helps not only protect you but others as well.

With the Holidays coming up and nearing the corner we will probably see much more of this and in changing forms that appear to be more real than the previous attempts that have hit our email accounts or mail boxes. Be ALERT, do not forward, do not respond and do not open any attachments. send to spam or delete !

Melissa, it's amazing, but a woman I know who isn't at all stupid actually answered one of those emails about being the long lost niece of some guy with a coffee plantation in Kenya.  She stopped short of sending them her personal banking information so they could wire a big check into her account!

Melissa, Great advice, some people click on the links because they don't realize it.  I can't believe people would fill in all that information but it happens more often than I'd like to think.

Melissa:

When I receive one of these, my first thought is, who would fall for this?

My second thought is with the internet becoming more popular, there are many seniors that may fall prey.

They need to be informed.
