                                          You Left A Footprint On Many Hearts

 

My life here was just a stepping stone...

to learn and teach the things God wanted you all to know.

I was never meant to stay....

some journeys just last longer than others.

Now that I am gone, I need you to let me go...

there are so many things that God needs me to do.

Today, I must be the wind that blows...

the gentle breeze you feel upon your skin.

Today, I will be the keeper of the stars...

watching over you from afar.

I'll be the innocence you see in the smile of a newborn child...

I'll be the serenity you hear as you listen to a river run...

Tomorrow I'll be the beauty you see unfold...

I'll be the voice in your heart you will hear way down to your soul.

I am alive in you always.

There is no difference in the way that I love you today than I did yesterday.

Everyday I'll be smiling down on you from Heaven...

Everyday I will be exactly where you need me to be.

Melissa, Two lines of your poem are especially impacting on me. Everyday I will be exactly where you need me to be. Now that I am gone, I need you to let me go I think those we have loved and lost all want this to be what we continue with in our hearts. Richard
